Cabin Fever Chickadee/Nuthatch Chalet

The Chickadee/Nuthatch Chalet adds a elegant look to a very functional bird house built to withstand any weather. This chalet features 1 1/4 inch entrance hole that will accommodated Chickadees/Nuthatches and smaller cavity nesters. Extra thick cedar and all screw construction enable these houses to stand up to the wild winters of Montana USA where they are made. An incredible amount of effort is spent on the details of these houses. The thick walls insulate the interior from the cold, and ventilation holes under the eaves prevent overheating in warm weather. The bottom of the house allows water to drain if blown in through the entrance. The entrance features a double layer of 1" cedar which forms a small tunnel to keep cats, jays, and raccoons away from young. The rough finish inside below the entrance hole allows young to exit the house easily. The front of the box is designed to be removed for clean out and to attach mounting screws.
