This is an invaluable tool for birders traveling to new regions which have well documented bird calls. This is the first digital audio recorder designed by a birder for birders. It can be attached to your binoculars to let you whisper your observations without taking your eye off the bird, and record the bird's call then identify that call by playing recordings of hundreds of species from the audio field-guides contained in plug-in memory cards (optional). The key features are; a note-taking microphone to record your observations, higher-gain microphone to record bird-song, enough built in memory (32mb) to make up to three hours of recordings ,optional Audio Field-guides on removable memory which also allow many hours of additional recording times, you control recording with one thumb while watching the bird, it weighs less than 50g (2 oz.) & uses a single AAA battery, and is water resistant, it attaches easily to most roof-prism binoculars using the supplied Velcro attachments, it comes with simple to use organizational software for the Mac or PC which allows you to upload, archive and replay your recordings and field notes.
