Countryside Culture Flicker And Woodpecker House

The peaked metal roof with its metal bird silhouette on top make this one of the most attractive and functional Northern Flicker nest boxes you will ever find. The metal roof also adds more resistance to water and sun. The western red cedar and all screw construction ensure that this will be a very long lasting bird house. Larger nest boxes usually take a good ladder to place or some tricky tree climbing skills to install so it will be nice to know that the nest box will last for many years. This nest box is easily attached to trees, posts or buildings by a pre drilled wood extension attached to the box . We recommend also attaching another screw (s) thru the back of the box from the interior. The side of the box swings open to allow cleaning and attachment.

This flicker house follows the most recommended dimensions for flicker use. The entry hole is 2-1/2 inches in diameter. Floor size is 5-7/8 inches by 7-1/4 inches. Overall size is 10-1/2 x 9 x 21-1/2 inches high. This beautiful nest box is handcrafted locally in Grants Pass Oregon. Contact us for special orders for other color roofs, While we always stock the green roof the nest box is also available in Red, Blue, Galvanized and even Copper (which is slightly more money ($49.95)
