Guided Spring Wild Mushroom Walk

We are offering TWO Guided Mushroom Hikes to learn about our local wild mushrooms this year.  First one is on Saturday, May 20th and the second on Sunday May, 28th. Sign up for one or both.  Local mushroom expert Nils Nelson will offer his expertise and guide a walk in search of mushrooms. The emphasis will be on finding fungi and learning something about identification and the diversity of mushroom species. Ever wonder why southwest Oregon and northern California is called the Klamath Knot?  Join Jeanine Moy of KS Wild for a photographic tour of some of the most rugged mountain ascents. We'll delve into the heart of Bigfoot country by getting a glimpse of high elevation off-trail hiking/climbing routes and some of the rare wildflowers along the way. Sun Print Workshop

Join us to learn about the principles of photography and then make a sun print to take home!  Kids will explore how light can transform the Sunprint paper similar to photography.  The blue molecules embedded in the paper are sensitive to ultra-violet light. We will arrange objects onto the 4″x4″ Sunprint paper indoors.  We will then take it outside & lay it out to expose the paper.  The areas of the paper exposed to the sun will fade from blue…
