Soar into the wild sky with this majestic Osprey model. One of natures most impressive birds lifts it’s freshly caught meal into the air with a few beats of it’s wings and then hangs above you in mid-air, allowing you to get a good long look at the details of both Osprey and Brown Trout up-close. Nothing has been spared in this attempt to portray all parts of the bird as accurately as possible within the limitations of print and materials. Color, size, and patterning are representative of the five subspecies found throughout the world. Easily assembled by novice or expert, yet providing both with hours of enjoyment and interest, this model has been designed for simplicity, ease of construction, and structural efficiency. The entire assembly process is very comprehensively displayed with explicit illustrations showing shape and positioning of every piece. With a finished wingspan of 1.5 meters you will be amazed at the lifelike realism and feel like you yourself are flying high in the air with this majestic bird.

I made this same bird about 20 years ago. If the cat not attacked it,…..it would still be in perfect condition. It’s a long lasting mobile. I will be ordering another soon. It does take about 25-30 hours to assemble, but it’s worth it. I hung mine from the ceiling and when a bird specialist from U.C.D. visited my home, he actually thought it was real.
I built this kit back in 1998, and it now is on loan to the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge Complex just outside of Sherwood, Oregon.

My recommendation is to photocopy the head and practice with that before actually using the original part.
