Made by hand in Oregon, these Evergreen Tree Mug capture the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Simple and elegant in design, this mug is roughly 18 oz. The exposed clay is patterned by intermixing red and brown clay, as to mimic wood swirls. This mug comes in two colors – Forest Green or River Blue.
This husband and wife team began making pottery full-time in 1977 and began specializing in carved pieces nearly 30 years ago.
Words from Pam:
My husband Mike and I have been getting our hands dirty with clay for more than 30 years. My love of art started when I was young. I love to draw, paint, and explore new ideas. I was encouraged to take all the art classes I could, which eventually introduced me to my future in ceramics. We started in 1976 in Portland Oregon where we started making traditional pottery pieces. In 1980 we decided to pick up and move to Sisters Oregon where we began to branch out, taking inspiration from nature and putting into our carved pottery pieces. Our business has since flourished and has let us live our dream in the sometimes sleepy town of Sisters. We hope you enjoy the Evergreen Tree Mug!
Words from Mike:
“I’m a craftsman and Pam is an artist” says Mac. “I make everything on the wheel with a mix of red and brown clay that gives our designs a slight swirl, almost like wood”. Pam then paints, puts handles on and carves the designs.
