Enjoy a Wonderful Season of Bird Walks with Terence Philippe
Join Northwest Nature Shop’s expert birder Terence Philippe for a series of local bird walks.
Spring marks the return of longer days and also heralds the return of many birds that migrate south during the winter. It’s also the beginning of nesting season for many of these returning birds. So it’s time to grab your field guides, dust off your binoculars, and join us as we start our monthly outings to a close-by local birding hotspot. We’re lucky to live in an area that has such a diverse range of habitats that gives us the opportunity to view many spectacular species of birds. This year we’ll expand our selection of outings beyond our traditional favorite of Ashland Pond to include visits to the Bear Creek Greenway near Talent and also to Emigrant Lake. Join us the first Sunday of every month beginning in March for fun and educational walks to these areas. Please call or stop by the Northwest Nature Shop before each Sunday to sign-up, and to learn the meeting place, time and location.
