Northwest Nature Shop Event Calendar 2008

Birding Excursion to Lithia Park for children ages 5-12.
Meet at The Northwest Nature Shop at 10am.

March 15th - Siskiyou Bird
House Sale
Siskiyou Audubon Birdhouses. Made by volunteers at
the Audubon Society in Grants Pass. Proceeds go to
education programs.
$7 each for three for $15. While supply lasts!
March 22nd, 11am-2pm - The Rabbits are Coming!
Local 4-H group will bring their bunnies by the shop so we can play
with them and hold them. FREE
April April 2nd, 7pm - Outback Australia Slide Presentation
Presented by local authors: Richard & Barbara Macmillan
Will be shown at the Northwest Nature Shop.

April 5th, 8am - Monthly Bird Walk
KBO Bird Banding Demonstration and Lomakatsi
Restoration Tour at KBO's Headquarters.
Meet at the Northwest Nature Shop.
April 26th-27th 10am-6pm - Taste Of Ashland
Exhibit of Wildlife Photography by Dan Elster and wine and
food tasting at the Northwest Nature Shop.

April 26th, 10-noon - Flower Finders (ages 4+)
A botany excursion for kids. A botanical treasure hunt
to learn more about what plants and flowers are doing
and why they are important AND beautiful.
$5 child/adult pair.

May 1st,7pm - Attracting Birds to your
Garden Presentation
Master Gardeners presents how to create natural habitat
for wildlife.
at the Northwest Nature Shop.
May 3rd, 12-3pm - Spring Wildflower Show
View local blooming wildflowers
and ask
the experts all your wildflower questions.
come and get free wildflower seeds!
May 3rd , 10-noon - Plants and Tots (age 2-3 yrs)
Lots of searching, touching, silliness, stories and
songs to encourage a sense of wonder about the
blossoming spring in your little budding nature lover.
$5 child/adult pair.
